You have spent a great deal of time building your list. You are getting subscribers every day now, but you aren’t sure how to turn those subscribers into money. Here are 3 steps that will get your email marketing campaign started in the right direction. Opt In Email Marketing Strategy #1: Be Helpful You must be helpful to get the best results from your list. You should be concerned with your reader and the obstacles they face. Most people sign up to your list to get free information, so you need to give them free and useful information in your emails. By giving them what they want, you are building a trusting relationship with them. By helping them for free, they will be much more willing to buy your products later on. Opt In Email Marketing Strategy #2: Stay On Target Your subscribers signed up to your list to get information about your subject. Don’t get them angry by sending unrelated emails. Subscribers have a right to be very choosy when guarding their inbox, and most of them are. It just takes 1 or 2 unrelated or off-subject emails to make them unsubscribe. Don’t abuse your list – they are your business’s most precious resource. Opt In Email Marketing Strategy #3: Push Your List I would rather send too many emails than not enough? Why? Because I want to separate the serious from the curious. Most of the emails I send contain useful information, not sales pitches. So if someone is truly interested in my subject, then they want to get emails from me because I am helping them for free. If someone doesn’t want my emails, they can unsubscribe. Here’s a little secret – the more emails you send, the higher your unsubscribe rate will be. But you know that the people that stay on your list are truly interested and are actually reading what you send.
