How To Setup Google Analytics On Your Website In Less Than 30 Minutes

We all know that the only way to make money online is to test, refine, and measure every aspect of your online business. Traffic volume, traffic sources, and conversion rates are some of the most important statistics you should keep. Google Analytics does an excellent job of tracking all 3 of these stats, and I am going to show you how to setup Google Analytics on your website in less than 30 minutes. Google Analytics Step #1 – Sign Up For An Account To sign up for Google Analytics, you must have a Gmail account. If you already have a Gmail account, then that is all you need. Don’t worry if you don’t have an account –they are absolutely free. Just go to http://www.google.com/analytics/ to sign up for a Google Analytics or Gmail account.. Google Analytics Step #2 – Add A Website Profile After you have signed up for your Google Analytics account, you need to add a new website profile. Adding a website profile is very simple to do. Just click on the ‘Add New Profile’ link and follow the steps. Enter your domain name and which time zone you are in. Then click ‘Finish’ Google Analytics Step #3 – Copy Code To Your Website Google Analytics will then give you some code that you need to place at the end of every webpage on your website. This code will allow you to track traffic information from each webpage. Statistics for each webpage can be reported separately or all together. Just one thing to watch out for – Google Analytics only updates their reports every 24 hours, so if you visit your website to test the tracking, you will have to wait until the next day to see the results.
