Many Internet marketers make the mistake of relying on their sales page to make a sale. What they don’t realize is that the sales page is not supposed to begin the sale, it is supposed to close the sale. Before people ever get to your sales page, you should have already primed them for the sale through your email marketing. How can you do this? Here are 5 steps that will work every time. Step #1 – Create An Audio Or Video Message Buyers will not buy from people they don’t know. That is why it is so important that you tell your prospective buyers a little bit about you. Do this before they ever get to your sales page. By the time you send them to your sales page, the “Who are you and why should I buy from you?” question should have already been answered. Step #2 – Create A Blog This again ties into letting your prospective buyers know about you. Buyers want to know who is behind the Internet curtain. Put some pictures of yourself on the blog and talk a little bit about your every day life. Don’t overdo it, but show a little of your personality. Step #3 – Give A Gift Always keep in mind that the main reason people are on the Internet is to find information. Maybe they are looking for information on a product, on a service, or on a friend. But they want to know. Create a small ebook or video that shares free information that pertains to them. This small gift might turn a doubter into a buyer. Step #4 – Ask A Question People love to talk about themselves. So let them talk. Encourage them to talk. If you can start an email conversation, then you have reached a level of communication with that person that 99.9% of other Internet marketers will never reach. This just makes the sale so much easier when they get to your sales page.
