3 Thoughts On An Unreasonably Angry Person

By Christopher Hall

There are plenty of angry people in the world. These people just can’t control their anger, and instead, let their anger control them. Here are 3 thoughts about a constantly angry person and why they are so dangerous to any relationship.

An Unreasonably Angry Person May Be Missing Something Inside

If a person is unreasonably and uncontrollably angry all of the time, it is a mark that the person might be missing something inside. It is a mark that the person has never given their life to Jesus Christ. There are reasons that people get angry often. Maybe they were raised wrong. Maybe they lack the character to control their anger. Others have been offended and never resolved the issue, so their anger just keeps building up.

But as a child of God, “Greater is He that is in us, than He that is in the world.” We are to be re-trained in our behavior through Christ. If someone can spew out profanity, or swing a fist in anger, or be cruel, mean, and harsh and not feel bad about it, then it is a mark that they are missing the right Spirit inside.

An Unreasonably Angry Person Is A Foolish Person

Proverbs 12:16 says “A fool's wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.”

If someone’s anger is presently known, is repeatedly known, and is often known, it is a fool’s wrath. Maybe you know someone who is always blowing their top or who gets angry at the smallest thing. Some people are known by their anger. These types of people are known to be foolish people.

Someone Who Can Control Their Anger Is A Wise Person

Proverbs 14:29 says “He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.”

A person who is slow to wrath is very wise. Someone who understands that anger does not solve a problem and who can control their anger is wise.

If you are driving down the road and somebody cuts you off, don’t get angry at the idiot. You can’t correct what happened. There is nothing that you can do to make the situation better. The one who can control their anger when they can’t improve the situation is much more wise than most people in the world.
